After the huge sell-out success of 2011, the International Rodeo is returning this November 2012 for its second year at Hamilton’s magnificent Claudelands Arena and promises to be bigger and better!

Featuring a wide array of entertainment, pyrotechnics, talent and champion riders from North America, Canada, South America, Australia and New Zealand, the event is one of the largest indoor rodeos in Australasia.

A high calibre of rodeo stars such as Canadian Saddle Bronc rider Kerry LaValley and his group of Canadian riders will buckling up alongside members of the NZ Rodeo Association for this year’s action.

“International contestants jump at the chance to come down to NZ.  They’ve heard about the country and our rodeo circuit and are keen to come for a look.  We have a great reputation as part of the international rodeo family” said Production Manager Fred Doherty

Prime stock is being sourced from all over the North island and will include Gisborne Clubs famous bareback horse ‘Jawbreaker’ which was one of the first bucking horse to set foot in Claudelands Arena after its first transformation from concert hall, conference centre, netball or basketball court to rodeo arena - with the help of 600 sheets of chipboard and 300m2 of soil!
