Claudelands welcomes new member to Business Development team
Claudelands Conference and Exhibition Centre has today welcomed a new member to its Business Development team.
Julia Heathcote has joined the team as a Business Development Executive, where she will specialise in business events for the local Waikato market.
Julia will be a familiar face to some, having worked across multiple H3 event venues within Hamilton.
She began her career in events shortly after completing her tertiary study at Wintec – initially working as a Conference & Functions Coordinator at Claudelands. Julia then moved to FMG Stadium Waikato and Seddon Park where she has worked for the past three years, firstly as a Conference & Functions Coordinator before being promoted to Conference & Functions Manager in 2014.
Julia says she is really excited to join the Business Development team at a time where the Waikato has achieved such growth and has so much to offer the business events market.
“I am a Waikato girl through and through; therefore pride in the region comes naturally to me and is definitely a key-driver in my appeal for the role,” she says.
H3 Business Development and Sales Manager Wendy Harrison says Julia is a much-welcomed addition to the team.
“Julia is such an asset for us as she has a really thorough understanding of the business events industry and strong existing relationships within the Waikato region. We’re excited to have her on board.”
The Claudelands team are currently preparing for the upcoming Meetings tradeshow, where they will be showcasing their venue alongside other Waikato-based exhibitors including Hamilton & Waikato Tourism, Waitomo Caves and Hobbiton™ Movie Set.
