Buyers get best views in the house at Claudelands Arena
A group of New Zealand event buyers were given the ultimate backstage experience at Hamilton’s Claudelands Arena on Friday night [9 December].
The group, who were on a three-day famil in the Hamilton & Waikato region, were treated to a night of corporate hospitality at live comedy gameshow 7 Days Live.
Prior to the show the buyers were taken through staff-only corridors and stairwells to gain access to an exclusive ‘Backstage Balustrade Comedy Club’ situated on a balcony behind the stage.
There the group were served pre-show drinks and canapes, met some of the 7 Days Live comedians, and soaked up the views over the stage to the corporate tables and public seating areas below.
Claudelands Business Development Executive Dawn Stewart said the evening was a great opportunity for the group to experience both a live public event as well as a customised private function.
“To be able to combine this famil with a popular public event like 7 Days Live meant it was the best of both worlds. Our guests were able to experience a private hosted function in the Backstage Balustrade Comedy Club prior to the show and then head down to one of the corporate tables to enjoy the atmosphere of the sold-out arena event,” says Dawn.
“This was the first time we had used the balcony as a function space and it was a great way to deliver the ‘wow factor’, and showcase the versatility of our venue and innovation of our team.”
