Claudelands Open Day announced for 18 June
You can be amongst the first to set foot in Hamilton’s newest events venue and explore areas normally off-limits to the public at the Claudelands Open Day this month.
To be held on Saturday 18 June from 10am-3pm, the Open Day will begin with a welcome by mayor Julie Hardaker before the doors of the newly developed venue are opened to the public. Attendees will then be free to make their way through the Claudelands arena, conference centre and exhibition spaces, including back-of-house areas such as the star rooms.
Claudelands director of business development and marketing Murray Jeffrey said the Open Day will be the first opportunity for the public to see the completed venue firsthand.
“To truly appreciate Claudelands you need to step inside and explore all the areas for yourself – the arena in particular is a must-see and the public will have the chance to soak up the atmosphere of this brand new top-class venue prior to its first event.”
Throughout the Open Day attendees will be invited to sign a scroll which will then be sealed in a time capsule and concealed on site. In the lead-up to the event More FM’s KM and Toast will also be giving their listeners the opportunity to suggest items to be sealed inside.
